Hi, I’m Chioko Juliette
I am happy you have found me. As therapist, it is my honor to meet you wherever you are at in life, whether it be a moment of transition or in a place of process.
Providing care for those whose identities and culture are not of the majority collective is something I am passionate about. I provide culturally responsive therapy that recognizes that groups and human beings have been placed in disadvantaged communities, by design. I seek to support folks who have experienced intergenerational trauma, race-based stress and trauma, life’s pressures, social injustices, and who are in a transitional space and are requesting a listening ear.
I am actively growing my knowledge and keeping up with research around how people of marginalized groups can be better served through therapy. I offer care that recognizes our unique needs, culture and ideas of what healing looks.
Come have a seat.

The Grounded roots Approach
The therapists at Grounded Roots Therapy Collective, Inc. believes in a decolonized approach to therapy, which is an action that investigates and challenges Westernized approaches to mental health and healing. Decolonized therapy recognizes the atrocities of colonization, across the globe, and prioritizes the healing and autonomy of marginalized individuals and communities. Decolonized therapy reimagines the mental health paradigm and center an individual’s own wisdom, experiences, knowledge, and strengths. Decolonized therapy acknowledges collective healing and not just individual healing.
